To whom it may concern,
Bruce Vondenberg was one of forty cross-utilized instructors for me at the
Disney Institute and, before that, at Disney University Seminar Productions
here at Walt Disney World. Bruce taught most of what was referred to as Disney
Adult Discoveries. Programs in this collection included Innovation in Action,
a Behind the Scenes look at the technology and “city” services that run and
power the 43 square miles known as Walt Disney World; and Disney By Design,
a seminar detailing and touring the stories and technologies of the unique
architecture both inside and outside of our theme parks.
A special value that Bruce brought to the group was his history of business
seminars prior to his employment at Walt Disney World. Because of this background,
Bruce assisted in the business programs, touring our business clients through
the WDW property explaining and showing examples of our three subjects available
at the time: Management Disney Style, Service Disney Style, and Creativity
Disney Style.
As Team leader for the Disney Adult Discoveries, I found Bruce to be thorough
and accurate in his information and thoroughly engaging as an instructor.
His business acumen and his sense of humor enhanced the programs as written
and engaged the participants who had the opportunity to have him as their
instructor.
Bruce was utilized as an instructor from April of 1996 until spring of 2000.
In Year 2000, the Institute decided to no longer use cross-utilized instructors
and unfortunately Bruce and the other part-time instructors no longer taught
the programs. I myself was then assigned to Walt Disney Imagineering, and
am now at Epcot as a Costuming Manager.
